Mathieu Billot (FRA) and the 8-year-old mare Cosacara Z (Cornet Obolensky x Sandro Boy) won Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix de la Region de Normandie in Rouen, France.
The twelve best horse-and-rider combinations from the first round continued to the second and decisive round, where Billot delivered another clear, clocking the winning time of 40.86
Nicolas Layec (FRA) and Fee de Caryan (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Lamm de Fetan) finished as the runner-up pair with their time of 41.36, while Robert Murphy (GBR) and Hulde G (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Warrant) completed the podium in third after crossing the timers in 42.88.
Jordy van Massenhove (BEL) and Verdiamo Z (Verdi TN x Andiamo Z) finished fourth with a time of 43.56, while Sanne Thijssen (NED) and Cupcake Z (Chacco-Blue x Nissan Caretano Z) climbed up after picking up four penalties from round one but delivering a clear in the second round to finish fifth in 39.20.
