Simon Delestre and Chesall (Casall x Concerto II) took the win in the Bank Degroof 1,60 m class over two rounds at Brussels Stephex Masters on Saturday evening. 25% or all riders going clear would qualify for the second round and in this case it was exactly 25% of the starters that did. So eleven riders entered the second round and made it a race against the clock.
The top five riders crossed the finish line inside the difference of two seconds with the winner completing the course in 46,95 seconds. Christian Ahlmann with Codex One (Contendro x Glückspilz) took the second place in 47,14, while Philippe Rozier with Rahotep de Toscane (Quidam de Revel x Laudanum) finished the course in 48,41 seconds finishing third.
Fourth place went to Nicola Philippaerts with Zilverstar T (Berlin x Cavalier) in 48,85 seconds and Harrie Smolders with Emerald (Diamant de Semilly x Carthago) earned the fifth place after finishing the course in 48,87 seconds.
