Home riders dominated Friday’s biggest class in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, with Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) taking the pole position. Together with Legend (Ogano Sitte x Nabab de Reve), Alvarez Aznar crossed the finish line in 60.63 seconds – 1.75 seconds faster than his compatriot Kevin Gonzalez de Zarate with Conthargos Rouge (Conthargos x Papillon Rouge) that took the runner-up position.

In-form Ismael Garcia Roque (ESP) needed just over a second more to cross the finish line riding Airline R (Avec Coeur x Cornet Obolensky) to take third place. Fourth place went to Alberto Marquez Galobardes (ESP) with Aldo du Manoir (Iowa 960 x Arpege Pierreville*HN) while Henk van de Pol (NED) with Looyman Z (Numero Uno x Wellington) – the first rider to break the Spanish domination – ended fifth.
