Jerome Guery continued his fabulous form on Sunday, when he went to the top in the 1.50 Prix Ville de Mons. Riding Zojasper (Concorde x Jasper) – his winning partner in Friday’s Grand Prix qualifier – the Belgian jockey came in towards the very end of the speed class to snatch the win from his compatriot Gregory Wathelet on Egano van het Slogenhof (Electro x Nagano) as he shaved off 0.40 seconds on Greg’s time. Third place in this Longines Ranking class went to the Netherland’s Frank Schuttert on Arc de Triomphe (Triopmhe de Muze x Calvados) – who was almost two seconds behind the winning time.
