Switzerland’s Edouard Schmitz and the 10-year-old gelding Dillen 111 Z (De Flor 111 Z x Clovis) won Saturday’s CSI4* 1.45m ranking class in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, where the first week of Andalucía Sunshine Tour 2026 is turning towards its end.
In a jump-off between eighteen horse-and-rider combinations, Schmitz and Dillen 111 Z clocked the winning time of 39.77, taking the top honours ahead of Riccardo Pisani (ITA) and Scooby-Lou (Casallco x Conthargos) in second in 40.42. The current world no. four Gilles Thomas (BEL) and Plus Belle van T&L (Corydon van T&L x Toulon) took the third spot with a time of 40.28, followed by Holly Smith (GBR) on Sing Z (Copycat Z x Contact vd Heffinck) in fourth in 40.60 and Sanne Thijssen (NED) aboard Os le Petit Cheval (Peppermill x Magic d’Elle) in fifth in 40.78.
