Saturday's CSI4* 1.50m Prix Grand Bourg Agglomération in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, went to Switzerland's Edouard Schmitz and the 12-year-old Gamin van't Naastveldhof (Chacco Chacco x Toulon).
Eighteen out of the 64 horse-and-rider combinations at start cleared the first-round track set by the French course designer Gregory Bodo. In the deciding jump-off, Schmitz and Gamin van't Naastveldhof clocked the fastest time in 38.64 seconds – taking the win ahead of Francois Xavier Boudant (FRA) and GFE Eden du Rouet (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) in second in 38.79.
Gregory Cottard (FRA) and Gammelgaards Carola (Companiero x Aston) completed the podium, placing third in 40.00, while Thomas Lambert (FRA) and Jackpot E.B. (Action-Breaker x Corrado I) finished fourth in 40.11 – making it three French riders within the top four. Victoria Gulliksen (NOR) and Equine America Papa Roach (Perigueux x Zeus) ended fifth in 40.24.
