Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) and the 11-year-old gelding d'Orient Batilly (Numero Uno x Quaprice Boimargot Quincy) took the top honours in Saturday’s biggest class at the Gassin Polo Club in St. Tropez, France, the CSI4* 1.50m Prix ClipMyHorse – with a margin of 0.62 seconds down to runner-up Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) aboard Grand Slam VDL (Cardento 933 x Heartbreaker).
The twelve best horse-and-rider combinations from round one moved on to the second round, where Marie Pellegrin (FRA) rode Fini l'Amour (L’Arc de Triomphe x Canadian River) to a clear round in 47.08 seconds to take third. Joseph Stockdale (GBR) and Ebanking (Etoulon x VDL Sheraton) had one rail down in the second round and had to settle for fourth with a time of 45.76 seconds, followed by Harold Boisset (FRA) and Malia du By (Eros Platiere x Quidam's Rubin) in fifth – also they on four faults in 46.09 seconds.
