Saturday's main class at CSI4* Jumping International Bourg-en-Bresse, France, saw a Brazilian on top, with Eduardo Pereira de Menezes on Calypso Des Matis (Padock du Plessis x Tresor De Cheux) taking top honours in the 1.50m Région Auvergne Rhône Alpes.
With a time of 32.67 seconds in the jump-off, the Brazilian topped a field of 60 horse-and-rider combinations, nine of which had cleared the first round. Only the top three managed to produce a double clear result, with Penelope Leprevost (FRA) on Bingo Del Tondou (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Querlybet Hero) taking the runner-up position with a time of 33.14 and Romain Duguet (SUI) on Bel Canto de Boguin (Grenat de Grez x Arpege Pierreville) the third spot when the clock stopped on 33.82 for the Swiss rider. Benoit Cernin (FRA) on Dynamite Du Miral (Nabab de Reve x Alligator Fontaine) placed fourth and Steve Guerdat (SUI) on Is-Minka (Mylord Carthago HN x Flying Quite Easy 958) fifth.
