Edward Levy (FRA) continued his winning streak on Friday, when taking the top honours in the CSI4* 1.50m class in St Lô aboard Rebeca LS (Rebozo La Silla x Cassini I). In the jump-off, Levy was slightly faster than runner-up Dominique Hendrickx (BEL) riding Vintadge de la Roque (Kannan x Galoubet A) – only 0.28 seconds separated the two riders.
A total of 63 horse-and-rider combinations started in the class and 17 of them jumped clear in the first round – with another five being clear on fences, but picking up a time fault. In the jump-off, ten pairs delivered another clear round.
Third and fourth place went to Switzerland, with Bryan Balsiger on AK’s Courage (Chepetto C x Lennon 5) being followed by Steve Guerdat on Albfuehren’s Maddox (Cohiba x Maraton). Fifth place went to Lucas Porter (USA) with C Hunter (Cassini II x Corland).
