Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) took his 4th victory at the CSI4* event Horses & Dreams in Hagen, Germany when he won Monday's 1.60m Deutschen Kreditbank AG Grand Prix riding Caspar 232 (Berlin x Padarco 2).

Twelve riders cleared the 1.60m course and qualified for the jump-off in this Grand Prix that also served as the first leg of the 2017 DKB-Riders Tour, with seven of them delivering a double clear. Gaudiano ended the jump-off in 50,30 seconds, half a second faster than runner-up Christian Rhomberg (AUT) with Saphyr Des Lacs (Mr. Blue x First Bride).

“Caspar is a very careful horse, has a super personality and great scope. He can do it all and I was with him in Rio,” Gaudiano said after winning the Grand Prix.

Markus Beerbaum (GER) ended third, riding his wife Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s usual ride Comanche 28 (Coupe de Coeur x Baloubet du Rouet) – crossing the finish line in 51,12 seconds.

“The last years you have mostly seen me at the in-gate and in the warm up, but right now I have several horses – not only Comanche – with whom I can get established at the international level again. So far I haven’t set any goals, but for me the DKB-Riders Tour is a good start to show myself and establish myself at this level and get in the view of the Chef d’Equipe,” explained Beerbaum after his third place.

Fourth place went to Douglas Lindelöw (SWE) with Zacramento (Cardento x Cortus) and fifth place to Marc Houtzager (NED) and Sterrehof’s Baccarat (Padinus x Silvio I).
