Coming fresh from his Porsche Grand Prix win in Knokke, Jerome Guery was full of confidence in Friday's feature class Prix Cleanbox at the CSI4* event in Mons to take the victory. The home hero was not shy around the 1.50 track, going full speed from start to finish on Zojasper (Concorde x Jasper) to stop the clock at 61.53 seconds early on in the competition.
None of the remaining competitors in the 60-rider-field could catch the Belgian rider. It was a German one that came closest; Felix Hassmann on Cayenne WZ (Claudio x Ramirado) - that slotted in behind on a time of 62.11. Then followed Switzerland's Martin Fuchs on Cynar VA (Clarimo x Alcatraz) in third - while Frank Schuttert claimed fourth and Pieter Devos fifth.
The 1.45 Prix Eurotierce saw Great Britain's Laura Renwick take another victory, this time on Rembrandt Blue. Second and third went to two American riders; Audrey Coulter and Laura Kraut.
