Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher and the 14-year-old Cous Cous 3 (Cachas x Lasino) won Friday’s CSI5* 1.50m Longines Welcome Stakes as the 2026-edition of the Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show kicked off at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.
In a jump-off between seven horse-and-rider combinations, the current world number 40 clocked the winning time of 35.78, taking the top honours ahead of John Whitaker (GBR) and Equine America Unick du Francport (Zandor x Helios de la Cour II) with just 0.16 seconds separating the top two pairs.
Roger Yves Bost (FRA) and Ballerine du Vilpion (Baloubet du Rouet x Quidam de Revel) completed the podium when stopping the clock on 37.20, while Yuri Mansur (BRA) on Mister Jup (Carrera VDL x Silverstone) and Geir Gulliksen (NOR) aboard Oh La La van Overis (Otangelo x Udarco van Overis) finished fourth and fifth with times of 37.32 and 39.01 respectively.
