José Maria Larocca Jr. (ARG) and Finn Lente (Gaillard de La Pomme x Colandro) won Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix de la Ville de Bourg-en-Bresse at the 2026-edition of Jumping International de Bourg-en-Bresse, France.
“The crowd was exceptional today,” Larocca said in a press release from Jumping International de Bourg-en-Bresse. “This is only my second time here, and competing in an atmosphere like this is truly incredible. You can feel so much enthusiasm around the arena, and it makes the experience even more special for the riders. A huge thank you to all the spectators for their support throughout the weekend.”
Twelve horse-and-rider combinations cleared their way into the deciding jump-off over the first-round track set by by France’s very own Grégory Bodo. With a time of 40.55 seconds, Larocca and Finn Lente took the top honours ahead of Anthony Wellens (BEL) on Quelle Force van Sappenleen (Kannan x Numero Uno) in second in 41.22 and Andres Vereecke (BEL) aboard Halima van het Bonte Hof Z (Hos d’O x Heartbreaker) in third in 41.79.
The host nation’s Megane Moissonnier and Crooner Tame (Conrad x Quaprice Boimargot Quincy) finished fifth with a time of 42.27 seconds, followed by Isabell Bengtsson (SWE) and Quinton BS (Quarz x Contendro I) in fifth in 42.68.
