The 1,50m Riviera Sun Tour Grand Prix was a competition over two rounds and it was Jose Maria Larocca (ARG) and Cornet du Lys (Cornet Obolensky x Champion du Lys) that ended up on top of the podium. Larocca was 0,10 second faster than runners-up Luca Maria Moneta (ITA) and Herold N (Heartbreaker x Haydn).
As many as 13 riders qualified for the second round and four of them went double clear. Wojciech Wojcianiec (POL) with Cassio Melloni (Caretino x Cassini I) ended third and was followed by Giuseppe Rolli (ITA) with Balisto Z (Balou du Rouet x Stauffenberg).
With one time fault from the first round, Dalma Rushdi Malhas (KSA) and Toscanini Malpic (Allegreto x Targas Poulyoud) ended fith.
