Julien Epaillard was outstanding at the CSI4* Horses & Dreams in Hagen on Thursday, winning both the big tour and the medium tour. In the big tour Epaillard rode the 10-year-old Diamant de Semilly-son Safari D'Auge, and was just slightly faster against the clock than Bruce Goodin with Baloppi around the 1.45 track. Third place went to William Funnell with Billy Angelo (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Kroongraaf) and Felix Hassmann ended fourth with Cayenne WZ (Claudio x Ramirado). Carlos Lopez secured fifth place with his new ride Admara 2 (Padinus x Murano) - a horse previously seen under Emmanuele Gaudiano.
Julien Epaillard won the 1.40 medium tour riding Usual Suspect D'Auge (Jarnac x Papillion Rouge), and was over a second faster in the second phase than runner-up Santiago Lambre on Bond Lover (Balou du Rouet x Cento). The two on top were followed by three German home riders: Frederick Troschke with Landprincess (Landprinz x Istafan), Jan Sprehe with Contero 11 (Con Air x Quintero) and Maurice Tebbel with Caryota (Cornet Obolensky).
