After an incredible jump-off, Katharina Offel and Charlie (Cornet Obolensky x Potsdam) went to the top in Sunday's CSI4* DKB-Riders Tour Grand Prix qualification in Wiesbaden. It was a good day at the office for Offel, who also won the Youngster Tour on Lord Larry 4 (Lord Pezi x Cordalme) earlier in the day. "I am very happy. I have had Charlie since he was six - now he is twelve, I never had a horse for that long before. We know each other in and out, he is my best friend - whether he has a good day or a bad," the Ukrainian rider smiled after her win.
As second last to go in the eight-horse jump-off it looked like home rider Holger Wulschner would snatch the win on BSC Cha Cha Cha (Casall x Le Grand I), but it turned out that Offel's blistering start to the jump-off would be very hard to match and Wulschner slotted into runner-up position 0.26 seconds behind on the time. Third place went to Constant van Paesschen from Belgium riding Citizenguard Taalex (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Alexis Z).
