Germany's Kendra Claricia Brinkop and Stephex Stables' Do It Easy (Vigo Cece x Laeken) won Monday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix Ville de Bourg-en-Bresse as the 2024-edition of Jumping International Bourg-en-Bresse in France concluded.

With a time of 40.44 seconds, Brinkop and Do It Easy were the fastest of only three double clears – besting a strong starting field of 50 horse-and-rider combinations. Thirteen pairs continued to the second round, seven of them with a clear from the initial round and only the top three managed to keep on a clean sheet over the tracks set by the French course designer Gregory Bodo.

Switzerland's Steve Guerdat – reigning European Champion – and and the 10-year-old Albführen's Iashin Sitte (Bamako de Muze x Tinka's Boy) took the runner-up position behind Brinkop in 41.22, while the host nation's Pierre Marie Friant and Urdy d'Astree (Bouffon du Murier x Pamphile) completed the podium in third in 41.60.

With a time fault from the first round, Kevin Staut (FRA) and Scuderia 1918 Viking d'la Rousserie (Quaprice Bois Margot x Apache d'Adriers) finished fourth in 46.34, followed by Jose Maria Larocca (ARG) and Finn Lente (Gaillard de la Pomme x Colandro) in fifth in 46.40.
