Germany's Kendra Claricia Brinkop and the 11-year-old mare Ma Belle (Ugano Sitte x Bayard d'Elle) took Friday's biggest win at the 2023-edition of Chantilly Classic, topping the CSI4* 1.45m Small Final presented by Defender.
With a time of 44.56 seconds, the German rider was the quickest in a jump-off between sixteen horse-and-rider-combinations – taking the win ahead of Denmark's Martin Dinesen Neergaard and the 9-year-old Carpe Diem van de Geeneinde Z (Connor x Cassini I) in second in 47.03. Brazil's Pedro Junqueira Muylaert and Townhead Liberty V (Böckmann's Lord Pezi x Stolzenberg) placed third in 48.07, while his compatriot Rodrigo Pessoa and Lord Lucio (Legolas x Zero) finished fourth in 48.31, followed by Ireland's Harry Allen aboard Iron Lady van de Zuuthoeve (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Darco) in fifth in 49.00.
