Italy's Luca Moneta won Saturday's 1.45 Grand Prix at the Sunshine Tour. The CSI3* competition had over eighty riders in it, and aboard the 15-year-old Neptune Brecourt (Cumano x Kayack) Moneta produced one of thirteen first clear rounds to move on to the jump-off.
With a time of 32.40, Moneta had quite a bit of space down to Great Britian's Matthew Sampson who ended as runner-up on the 13-year-old mare Cecilia (Coronado x Caletto I) stopping the clock on 33.23 seconds. Third place went to Ireland's Richard Howley on Calmond (Clarimo x Ramiro's S.II).
