Luca Maria Moneta’s long-time partner Neptune Brecourt (Cavalor Cumano x Kayack) has been retired from the sport at the age of 20. With Moneta in the saddle, the gelding competed at the highest level for more than 10 years – recording victories at venues such as Abu Dhabi, Bourg en Bresse, Hagen, La Coruna, Lausanne, Leipzig, London, Madrid, Mechelen, Verona, Valencia and Vilamoura. The pair also represented Italy at the European Championships in Herning, Denmark in 2013 and at the World Equestrian Games in Caen, France in 2014.

On his official Instagram page, Moneta writes: “It is with pleasure but also a bit of sadness that I want to announce that 2020 was the last year of competitions for Neptune Brecourt. I wish that each of you can meet a horse like Nepi!”

At World of Showjumping, we wish Neptune Brecourt a happy retirement!
