Brazil's Luciana Lossio and the 14-year-old mare Lady Louise Jmen (Landario Jmen x Calisco Jmen) won Saturday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix Ville de Chantilly at the 2024-edition of Chantilly Classic.
Fastest in a jump-off of five – with a time of 36.56 seconds – Lossio and Lady Louise Jmen took the win ahead of the host nation's Juliette Faligot (FRA) and Arqana de Riverland (Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly) in second in 38.63, topping a field of fifty horse-and-rider-combinations.
Alise Oken (USA) and Gelvera (Quality Time TN x Numero Uno) placed third after crossing the finish line in 39.26 seconds. Fourth place went to Ines Joly (FRA) and Platini de Kalvarie (Don't Touch Tiji Hero x For Pleasure) who had a time of 39.57, while Valentin Besnard (FRA) and Diamantina Beaufour (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini I) completed the top five with eight faults in the jump-off.
"This is my greatest victory, and it takes on an even greater dimensions in this incredible place, between these two palaces," an emotional Lossio said in a press release from Chantilly Classic 2024. "It's incredible, I'm so happy. It's the first time I've been here and it's like a dream come true."
