Marco Kutscher wins the Preis der Volkswagen AG in Braunschweig

Marco Kutscher made it a home win at the CSI4* event in Braunschweig on Friday, as he took the victory in the 1.50 Preis der Volkswagen AG. Riding the 12-year-old gelding Balermo (Baloubet du Rouet x Silvio I), the German rider produced the fastest clear of the day to stop the clock at 59.60 seconds picking up the first prize of 8750 Euro and world ranking points. 

Runner-up was Great Britain's Jessica Mendoza on Sam de Bacon (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Vlan de Vergoignan), who was 0.46 seconds behind Kutscher on the clock. In third followed Dutch rider Willem Greve on the 12-year-old stallion Carambole (Cassini I x Concerto II), 0.67 seconds behind Kutscher. 

Earlier in the day, home rider Holger Wulschner opened the show with a win in the 1.45 class on Csarano D'Argilla Z (Coriano x Skippy II).
