The winning duo of Marco Kutscher (GER) and Van Gogh (Numero Uno x Bernstein) came back with a bang on Saturday, when the pair topped the CSI4*-W 1.45m Medium Tour Final presented by TVP in Poznan. Only 9 out of 48 competitors qualified for the jump-off in this competition counting for the world ranking.

Another seven flawless rides were produced against the clock, most of them very quick. Kutscher managed to get ahead of Friday’s winner Eoin Mcmahon (IRL) on Chacon 2 (Chacco-Blue x Aventyno) by only 0.2 seconds. The third place went to Christopher Klasener (GER) on Aspen (Abke 4 x Landjoker).

“While watching the classI thought that there would be more clear rounds, and yet only nine competitors were without faults. I was the last to go, so I had a full overview of the situation. I knew that if everything went as I wanted, I had a chance to win. Van Gogh is about to turn 17, so I'm very happy with his shape and such a good result. It's my second time here. I was on Cavaliada some five years ago and I can see how this event has been developing. Full stands, great atmosphere, a wide range of competitions in two arenas, as well as trade fairs. This is a great event and I will certainly come back here,” said Marco Kutscher.

Later in the night, Felix Hassmann (GER) won the 1.45m Speed & Music class counting for the world ranking. Over a second separated Hassmann from his compatriot Carsten-Otto Nagel, while Jur Vrieling (NED) followed in third.
