Germany's Marco Kutscher was the best in Saturday's Art on Ice Championat in Zürich. Riding the 15-year-old KWPN stallion Van Gogh (Numero Uno x Bernstein), Kutscher was the fastest of the clears in this 1.50 competition run over two phases. Clocking a time of 32.02 in the second phase, 0.15 seconds separated the German rider from Italy's Lorenzo de Luca on Halifax van het Kluizebos (Heartbreaker x Fetiche Du Pas) that settled into the runner-up position.
Dutch rider Leopold Van Asten ended third on VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (Chacco-Blue x Aldatus) a little less than a second behind the winning time, while fourth place went to Ireland's Denis Lynch and fifth to Austria's Max Kühner.
Saturday morning's 1.45m Toshiba-Jokerspringen saw two home riders on top as Pius Schwizer won with Electric Z (Erco van't Roosakker x Querlybet Hero), and Paul Estermann finished second on Cornet's Hope (Cornet Obolensky x Drosselklang).
