The CSI3* Grand Prix of Vilamoura saw five horse-and-rider combinations producing double clear rounds, with Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) and the 11-year-old gelding Heartbreaker Vd Achterhoe (Bentley x Catango Z) being the fastest pair of the class.
With a time of 35.75 seconds in the jump-off, Bucci took home the first prize of 7250 Euro in this 1.50m Grand Prix counting for the Longines Ranking. Bucci's compatriot Matias Alvaro finished second riding Tempo des Brieres (Corland x Quat'Sous) after stopping the clock at 35.96 seconds. Third place went to David Will (GER) on Chillert Blue (Chacco-Blue x Polydor), with a time of 36.33 in the jump-off – while Timothee Anciaume (FRA) ended fourth and Skye Higgin (GBR) fifth.
