Scuderia 1918’s team of riders has become a little bit more Italian, as it today was announced that Piergiorgio Bucci will be wearing their colours thanks to the partnership created through the co-ownership of the 11-year-old stallion Casago (Casall x Carthago Z). Top riders such as Lorenzo De Luca, Kevin Staut, Daniel Deusser and Giulia Martinengo Marquet are already part of the Scuderia 1918 team and now get company from Bucci.
The 47-year-old Italian rider, currently ranked number 47 in the world, has since 2010 been based in Budel, the Netherlands, where he runs his own stable. Bucci has represented Italy at five FEI European Championships, and with Diesel GP Du Bois Madame he competed at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA.
With Casago, Bucci won the 2020 Italian Championships. After buying Casago as a five-year-old, Bucci has allowed him to mature gradually, bringing him up to five-star Grand Prix level.
