Switzerland's Pius Schwizer was the fastest one in the CSI4* Lotto Hessen-Preis class in Wiesbaden riding Leonard de la Ferme CH (Landjuweel x Indigene de Corday). 46 riders took part in the 1.50 class, and Michael Hughes with Cornetto 36 (Cornet Obolensky x Gio-Granno) took the runner-up position ahead of Felix Hassmann with Cayenne WZ (Claudio x Ramirado).
Lisa Nooren, who is back after breaking her collarbone earlier this year, ended fourth with VDL Groep Flying Saucer (Indoctro x Furiosos Sohn) ahead of Marco Kutscher with Inliner (Iberio x Sao Paulo).
"Leonard is a very good horse, he has a huge canter, is 1.82 high and has endless possibilities," said Pius about his winning partner. "He can not stand still though. So for the prize givings I have to bring another horse!"
Earlier in the day home rider Hans-Dieter Dreher won the 1.45 class with Theodore Manciais (Kashmir van't Schuttershof x Power Light) ahead of Pius Schwizer with Balou Rubin R (Balou du Rouet x Couleur Rubin). Michael Jung with FischerDaily Impressed (Cartani x Elcaro) ended third and Markus Renzel with Quick Step 53 (Quidam's Rubin x Pontifex) fourth.
The 1.40 class had three German riders on top, and was won by Angelina Herröder with Panthere De Bacon ahead of Felix Hassmann with SL Brazonado (SL Baluarte x Silvestre) and Denis Nielsen with C.D.2 (Check In x Collin L). Once again Pius Schwizer was among the best ending fourth riding Davidoff V. Schl'hof CH (Karondo v. Schloessilhof x Calando II).
