As the seventh and last week of competition at the 2023-edition of the Andalucía Sunshine Tour in Vejer de La Frontera, Spain, continued on Thursday, it was Ireland's Richard Howley and the 13-year-old Fame (Harley x investment) that took the biggest win of the day – topping the CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour.
With a time of 57.92 seconds, Howley bested a field of 100 horse-and-rider-combinations in this 1.50m class judged as a Table A against the clock – taking his third CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour victory within a week.
Pedro Veniss (BRA) and Böckmann's Lord Pezi Junior (Boeckmann's Lord Pezi x Quattro) took the runner-up position when the clock stopped on 57.95 for the Brazilian rider, while Michael Viehweg (GER) and Comanche (Comme Il Faut x Levantos) placed third in 59.31, James Smith (GBR) and Holly (Zambesi x Verdi TN) fourth in 60.51 and Niamh McEVoy (IRL) fifth 61.18 aboard Aconzina PS (Action-Breaker x Conthargos).
