Sameh El Dahan (GBR) and the 12-year-old gelding WKD Toronto (Tornesch x Carnaval Drum) won Saturday’s CSI4* 1.50m Amadeus Masters in Salzburg, Austria.
With a time of 67.55, El Dahan and WKD Toronto bested a field of 45 horse-and-rider combinations, taking the top honours ahead of Michael Greeve (NED) and Denver (Diarado x Quantum) in second in 68.10.
Stopping the clock on 69.99, the host nation’s Katharina Rhomberg and Colestus Cambridge (Colestus x Cambridge) placed third, followed by Jens Wawrauschek (GER) aboard Quirano 6 (Quiran x Quadros) in fourth with a time of 71.37 seconds and Felix Koller (AUT) on Cossinelle (Cascadello x Quebec) in fifth in 71.99.
Earlier during the day, Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano continued his winning streak, topping the CSI4* 1.45m Amadeus Trophy presented by LGT Bank with the 11-year-old gelding Julius.D (Arezzo VDL x Gelha’s VDL Emilion). Maximilian Weishaupt (GER) followed in the runner-up spot with DSP Omerta Incipit (Levisonn x Candillo), while Mel Thijssen (NED) aboard Arnold 46 (A Pikachu de Muze x Chacco-Blue) finished third.
