A total of 51 horse-and-rider combinations lined up for Saturday's CSI4* 1.50m Grand Prix qualifier in Valence. Eleven went clear and fastest of them all was Shane Breen (IRL) riding Golden Hawk (Vigo D Arsouilles Stx x Chin Chin).
France followed in second and third with Julien Epaillard on Queeletta (Quality x Landor S) and Patrice Delaveau on Urcos de Kerglenn Hdc (Toulon x Diamant de Semilly). Fourth place went to Laura Renwick (GBR) with Dublin V (Vigaro x Calvados), while Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) followed in fifth riding Que Bueno de Hus Z (Que Guapo x Canto).
