World no. two Simon Delestre took his second big win in two days on home soil in Saint-Tropez on Friday, together with the 11-year-old gelding Chesall Zimequest (Casall x Concerto II). The pair got off to a good start on Thursday when winning the CSI5* 1.50 Bentley Prize, and on Friday they did it again claiming the top honors in the 1.55 Julius Bär Prize.
The French couple was one of nine to make it to the jump-off, where six yet again managed to produce clear rounds. Delestre was the fastest of them all though, stopping the clock at 35.78 seconds. Close behind came world no. three Christian Ahlmann, riding the 9-year-old Caribis Z (Caritano x Canabis Z) to a time of 35.96 seconds.
Third place went to Delestre's compatriot Kevin Staut on Ayade de Septon et HDC (Wandor van de Mispelaere x Belle d''Avril du Mazy), while Belgium's Gregory Wathelet finished fourth on Coree (Cornet Obolensky x Liberty Life) and the world's leading lady rider Penelope Leprevost fifth on Ratina d''la Rousserie (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Apache d''Adriers*HN).
