The traditional Internationales Festhallen Reitturnier Frankfurt came to a close on Sunday, with a home win for Germany's own Richard Vogel and the 11-year-old Cloudio (Casall x San Patrignano Cassini) in the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix of Hessen presented by Deutsche Vermögensberatung AG.
One of seven pairs in the jump-off, out of the field of 40 participants, Vogel clocked the winning time of 34.09 seconds as last to go – snatching the victory from Patrick Stühlmeyer (GER) and Baloutaire PS (Balou du Rouet x Chacco-Blue) who had held the lead with their time of 36.51 seconds.
The Germans dominated the Grand Prix, with Felix Hassmann (GER) and Vithargos W.Z. (Vivant x Conthargos) in third with a time of 36.67 seconds, followed by Angelique Böckmann (GER) and Jardessa (Berlin x Kashmir van Schuttershof) in fourth in 38.34. With one down in the jump-off, and a time of 33.64, Tom Schewe (GER) and Lester ( Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Andiamo Z) had to settle for fifth.
