Wilm Vermeir and Getiane de La Pomme (Shindler de Muze x Diamant de Semilly) were the fastest of the 42 horse-and-rider combinations in Thursday's CSI5* 1.50m class against the clock at Waregem Horse Week.
The pair jumped a clear round and stopped the clock in 59.50 seconds, followed by Vermeir's compatriot Gregory Wathelet on Iphigeneaia de Muze (Erco Van T Roosakker x For Pleasure) that finished in 60.88 seconds. Third place went Canada's Kara Chad on Viva (Now Or Never M x Carbid), who cleared the course in 60.95 seconds.
Spain's Paolo Amibilia followed in fourth place with Chac Balou N (Chacco-Blue x Balou du Rouet), clear in 61.12 seconds. World no. one Steve Guerdat was fifth with Victorio des Frotards (Barbarian x Prince Ig'OR), also he clear in 62.46 seconds.
