Belgium's Wilm Vermeir had a good weekend at CSI4* Poznan: First he won Friday's Big Tour and then he went on to victory in Sunday's Grand Prix. Both wins came on the 10-year-old mare Gentiane de la Pomme (Shindler de Muze x Diamant de Semilly).
In today's 1.60 Grand Prix, Vermeir was up against eight other riders in the jump-off and three of them were his compatriots. However, no one could match Vermeir's clear and fast performance that saw the clock stop on 35.88 seconds. Runner-up Juan Carlos Garcia from Italy was 0.54 seconds behind aboard Bonzai van de Warande (Nonstop x Feinschnitt I vd Richter), while 0.61 seconds slower was third placed Doron Kuipers from The Netherlands riding Zinius (Nabab de Reve x Kannan).
Fourth place went to Belgian rider Jerome Guery, while fifth belonged to Great Britain's Tim Stockdale each with one fence down in the jump-off.
