Christian Ahlmann is a name that needs no introduction. Currently the top German rider in the world, and one of the most respected showjumpers in the sport, he leads the Longines Global Champions Tour rankings by a significant way just five shows into the season and looks to be in a strong position to battle for the world number one top spot. Quietly humble, intensely focused and passionate about his horses, the LGCT media team sat down with Christian at the recent leg Hamburg to get an insight into his season so far, his incredible equine partners, and his view on the sport of showjumping and its future.
