Home rider Laura Renwick took a popular home win in Sunday's feature class Massimo Dutti Trophy at the Longines Global Champions Tour in London. The 1.50/1.55 competition again saw a big group of riders moving onto the jump-off, with no less than fourteen combination clearing the first round. With another nine clears against the clock, it took a fast round to win - but as always, Renwick went all in to take the victory with a time of 37.32 seconds aboard Bintang II (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando).
Italy's Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi followed in 37.93 seconds on Isco de Amoranda (Da Lisco x Alvarez), while third place went to Ireland's Denis Lynch on All Star 5 (Argentinus x Alme). Christian Ahlmann was fourth and Luciana Diniz fifth.
Laura commented on her win: "It means everything to me, we've had this horse since he was very young; he's a real talent and today he showed just how much talent he has. He's not a speed horse but he has a really big stride, which suited the run to the last."
"It's lovely to be jumping at home, it's lovely to be at a Longines Global Champions Tour event, and then to win is just the icing on the cake."
