Sunday night's 5* 1.55 Copa del Rey class in Madrid was won by Roger Yves Bost on Qoud'Coeur de la Loge (Ideal de la Loge SF x Tenor de la Cour). It was another tough competition which saw ten go through to the second round. Five combinations finished with a double clear round, however it was Roger-Yves Bost on the speedy Quod’Coeur de la Loge who beat off a strong challenge from Constant Van Paesschen in the jump-off, with the Belgian rider having to settle for second on Citizenguard Taalex (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Alexis Z) with Edwina Tops-Alexander close behind in third riding Heidi du Ruisseau Z (Heartbreaker x Darco/).
