Edited press release from Longines Global Champions League
Stockholm Hearts powered by H&M We Love Horses won Saturday's Global Champions League of London on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. "It is great to feel this adrenaline kick again, and of course the win is the perfect start," Stockholm Hearts' Peder Fredricson said as he made a triumphant GCL-comeback after an injury sustained in a fall at LGCT Stockholm earlier this summer.
Two clear rounds from Fredricson's team-mate Olivier Philippaerts – in round one with Le Blue Diamond van'T Ruytershof (Plot Blue x Diamand de Semilly) and with H&M Miro (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) in the second – as well a clear and a four-fault score from Fredricson and Hansson WL (Hip Hop x Iowa) as well as Catch Me Not S (Cardento 933 x Ramiro's Son) secured the Stockholm Hearts the win with a total score of four in a time of 139.47, ahead of Madrid in Motion in second and Riesenbeck International powered by Kingsland in third.
With the third place finish, Riesenbeck International extended their lead on the GCL overall ranking for the 2023-season to 280 points, followed by Paris Panthers with 253 points in second and Madrid in Motion with 221 in third.
