Saturday's biggest win at the 2023-edition of Dublin Horse Show went to Ireland's Bertram Allen and the 9-year-old Edison de Hus (Conrad x Galoubet du Rouet) who topped the CSIO5* 1.50m Dublin Stakes sponsored by H5 Sport Horses – a class counting for Longines Ranking Group C.

Nine pairs cleared their way into the deciding jump-off, where only the top four delivered another clear and all of them were Irish. Crossing the finish line in 33.39, Allen and Edison de Hus took the win ahead of Daniel Coyle and Gisborne VDL (VDL Zirocco Blue x Goodtimes) in second in 33.50.

"It is always very nice to be home and to win a big class here," Allen commented to World of Showjumping. "My horse jumped super, I am delighted."

Commandant Geoff Curran and Glengarra Wood (Capitalist x Cavalier Clover Lad) placed third in 34.85, while Bertram's younger brother Harry Allen and Iron Lady van de Zuuthoeve (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve x Darco) finished fourth in 35.07 – making it an Irish quartet on top. Spain's Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and d'Orient Batilly (Numero Uno x Quaprice Bois Margot Quincy) finished fifth with a fence down in 34.49 seconds.

The second CSIO5* class of the day, the 1.45m Royal Dublin Society Stakes sponsored by Kilkea Castle – a class counting for Longines Ranking Group D – went to Great Britain's Sienna Charles and Valkiry de Zance (Diamant de Semilly x Double Espoir) ahead of Ireland's Tom Wachman and Cathalina S (Catoki x Sandro) in second, followed by Sienna's brother Harry Charles in third aboard Chavira (Chacco-Blue x Calvaro F.C.).
