Thursday's CSIO5* 1.50m Prize Suttero at the 2025-edition of Longines CSIO St. Gallen in St. Gallen, Switzerland, went to Mexico's Carlos Hank Guerreiro and the 12-year-old H5 Nostalgie (Emerald x Understone van de Kapel).
The first qualifier for the Longines Grand Prix of Switzerland saw 54 horse-and-rider combinations line up for the challenge set by the Swiss course designer Gerard Lachat. Hank Guerreiro and H5 Nostalgie topped the podium when crossing the finish line in 64.21 seconds, leaving Germany's Sophie Hinners and Nuraya 3 (Nurjev x Bisons Golden Joy) to the runner-up spot with their time of 65.03.
Katharina Rhomberg (AUT) and Cuma 5 (Comme Il Faut x Ars Vivendi) placed third in 65.60 seconds, followed by Denis Lynch (IRL) on Vistogrand (Fantaland x Mr Visto) in fourth in 67.54 and Robin Muhr (ISR) aboard Galaxy HM (Quality Time TN x Crawford) in fifth in 67.61.
Matthew Sampson (GBR) and Pretty Pi’Que De’Luxe (Party Dance x Viegaard’s Come Back II) won the opening five-star competition in St. Gallen, besting a field of 82 horse-and-rider combinations in Thursday’s CSIO5* 1.45m Prize CSIO Club when crossing the timers in 33.55 seconds in the two phase-competition.
Denis Lynch (IRL) and King Blue (Dallas x Chacco-Blue) took the runner-up spot in 33.60, while Robin Muhr (ISR) and Foud’Joie de Stel (Canturo x Quite Easy) placed third in 34.63 ahead of Richard Vogel (GER) and Cubi Cubells (Comme Il Faut x Julio Manier XX) in fourth in 35.09 and Emilie Conter (BEL) aboard Ocean Quality (Baltic VDL x Calato Z) in fifth in 35.83.
