The victory in Saturday's CSIO5* 1.50m City and Canton of St.Gallen Speed & Handiness – the second qualifier for Sunday’s Longines Grand Prix of Switzerland – in St. Gallen, Switzerland, went to home hero Pius Schwizer and the 12-year-old Nadale Van Dorperheide (Zilverstar T x Winningmood).
With a time of 84.74 seconds in this Table C class counting for the Longines Rankings Group B, Schwizer was 0.45 seconds faster than his compatriot Steve Guerdat who placed second riding Easy Star de Talma (Quick Star x Opium de Talma). Olivier Robert (FRA) completed the podium after clocking a time of 86.09 seconds, aboard Espri du Figuier AA (Upsilon x Ryon d'Anzex). Eduardo de Menezes (BRA) and Calypso de Matis (Padock du Plessis HN x Tresor de Cheux) finished fourth, followed by Niklaus Rutschi (SUI) in fifth with Oxana vd Bisschop (Air Jordan Alpha Z x Tornedo FCS) – clocking the respective times of 86.52 and 88.41 seconds.
