Denis Lynch and Spring Dark top Thursday's CSIO3* 1.50m in Vejer de la Frontera

Thursday's CSIO3* 1.50m class in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain was won by Irish rider Denis Lynch with nearly a second in hand. Aboard Spring Dark (Jazz Band Courcelle x Palestro II), Lynch stopped the clock at 54.61sec to take the top honours. Egypt's Abdel Said and Alanine De Vains (Allegreto x Adelfos) followed in runner-up position after crossing the finish line in 55.48sec, while Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann and Glamour Girl  (VDL Zirocco Blue x Caletto I) ended third with a time of 57.80sec. Dutch rider Leopold van Asten and VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (Chacco-Blue x Aldatus) took fourth, while Morocco's El Ghali Boukaa ended fifth with Galoubet L (Baloubet du Rouet x Quite Easy). 

The CSIO3* 1.45m was a two phase class and was won by Portuguese rider Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida with Farah (Arezzo VDL x Concorde), after the pair stopped the clock at 27.84sec. Italy's Antonio Maria Garofalo and Hope van de Horthoeve (Cabrio van de Heffinck x Fantastique) finished second in 28.10sec , while third place went to Great Britain's Matthew Sampson with Chacco Boy (Chaccomo x Calvaro F.C.) in 28.38sec.
