Marc Houtzager (NED) secured yet another big win for the hosts when taking the top honours in Saturday's 1.50m presented by Roelofs Groep at CSIO5* Geesteren.
The Dutch rider had partnered up with the 11-year-old mare Sterrehof's Dante (Canturano x Phin Phin) for the occasion, and the pair stopped the clock at 66.87 seconds to take the win. Houtzager was followed by Billy Twomey (IRL) and Lady Lou (Lord Z x Caesario) in runner-up position, with a time of 69.72 seconds. Third place went to Houtzager's compatriot Frank Schuttert (NED) on First Lady G (Whitaker x Lord Z) in 71.18 seconds. Gianni Govoni (ITA) finished fourth and Jacob Hellström (SWE) fifth.
Earlier in the day, Pedro Veniss (BRA) and Sun Flower du Theil (Allegreto x Quidam de Revel) won the 1.45m presented by J.B. Hulshof Accountants & Belastingadviseurs.
