This week the Morocco Royal Tour has moved onto its second stop, the CSIO4*-W Rabat.
Ramzy Al Duhami (KSA) opened the weekend with a win in the Grand Prix qualifier, the 1.45m Prix CNOM. As second last to go, Al Duhami stole the show with his lightning fast 12-year-old gelding High Quality J (Quadrillo x Nabab de Reve) – clocking the winning time of 58.91 seconds. Tiffany Foster (CAN) on the 13-year-old gelding Brighton (Contendro II x Quick Star) – the pair who was in the lead for most of the class – had to settle for runner-up position, while the third place went to Roberto Turchetto (ITA) on the 13-year-old gelding Baron (Colman x Numero Uno). Paolo Adorno (ITA) on Fer ZG (Nabab de Reve x Cantos) took the fourth place and the fifth spot went to Samantha McIntosh (NZL) on James S (Verdi x Concorde).
Earlier in the day, José Thiry (BEL) won the first CSIO4*-W class – the 1.35m Prix ONMT. Riding the 9-year-old gelding Fire (Numero Uno x Cash), Thiry took home the win with a time of 25.96 seconds in the second phase. Natale Chiaudani (ITA) on Belly Dancer RS (Eurocommerce Berlin x Acobat II) placed second, Roberto Arioldi (ITA) on Chiclone (Cornado I x Julio Mariner) third and Samy Colman (MAR) on Isibel d'O (Diamant de Semilly x Nonstop) fourth. The fifth spot went to Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR) on Vilkano de Fetan (Lamm de Fetan x Val de Villier).
