Sameh El Dahan and the 14-year-old mare WKD Aimez Moi (Je T'Aime Flamenco x breeding unknown) took a home win in Saturday's CSIO5* 1.50m ClipMyHorse.Tv Salver at the Agria Royal International Horse Show 2024, at Hickstead, Great Britain.
Stopping the clock on 39.46 in a jump-off between fifteen horse-and-rider combinations, El Dahan and Aimez Moi finished first ahead of Jörne Sprehe (GER) and Toys (Toulon x Quidam de Revel) in second in 39.88. Matthew Sampson (GBR) and Rosthwaite Cover Girl (Caracas x Indoctro) took third with a time of 39.89. Natalie Dean (USA) and Crescendo MB Z (Clinton x Jodokus) finished fourth in 41.03, followed by Denis Lynch (IRL) and Cordial (Casall x Chicago Z) in fifth in 41.17.
“We know her inside out,” El Dahan said in a press release from The All England Jumping Course. “She’s a class mare who has already won some Grands Prix and jumped Nations Cups, so she’s quite experienced. I knew that nothing today would faze her, I just have to do my best and she will do the rest. She’s always looking at the jumps and she’s quite careful. She’s also quick across the ground, so I know that I don’t have to go crazy.”
