The 2016 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Europe Division 1 will finally get underway in La Baule, France this week after the first leg in Lummen was cancelled. 

Belgium, Great Britain, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic are competing in Europe Division 1 this year. There are seven legs remaining in the series, and in La Baule it is the hosts, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany and Netherlands that are allocated to pick up points. 

Brazil, Switzerland and USA will also field teams in La Baule, but are not eligible for points.

On the team for the hosts are Roger-Yves Bost / Sydney Une Prince, Simon Delestre / Hermès Ryan, Julien Epaillard / Quatrin de la Roque *LM, Penelope Leprevost / Flora de Mariposa and Kevin Staut / Reveur de Hurtebise *HDC.
