Ireland's Bertram Allen was last to go in Sunday's Prize of Bitburger Brewery speed class in Aachen riding Quiet Easy 4 (Quidams Rubin x Zapateado), and stole the win with a fantastic round. Bertram and the chestnut gelding showed that there is no stopping their fantastic form, and the two pushed Germany's Mario Stevens and Baloubet (Balou du Rouet x Grandeur) down to second place with a round that was 0.14 seconds quicker.
Aachen's main arena is huge so it took a lot of canter from the horses to get from the start to the finish line and there was no time to breath if you wanted to be among the top three.
Pius Schwizer ended third with Sibell du Gisors (Calvaro x Narcos II) while Gregory Wathelet with Eldorado van het Vijverhof (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Omar) took the fourth place and Jose Maria Larocca with the Swedish gelding GDE Matrix (Cardento x Maximus) ended fifth.
