Last out in front of the fully packed Soers crowd in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen, José Maria Larocca (ARG) and Finn Lente (Gaillard de La Pomme x Colandro) slotted into second when crossing the finish line in 47.36 seconds. 

“I could not be happier, and to be beaten by what is arguably the best horse-and-rider combination in the world, is an honour," he said afterwards. "I could not be more grateful to be here; we can only be grateful for the atmosphere.”
