Luciana Diniz (POR) and Fit For Fun (For Pleasure x Fabriano) won the first international class at the Spruce Meadows 'Masters' – the CSIO5* $35,000 1.50m Telus Cup with a jump-off.

61 riders lined up for the class, and many of them fell victim to the short time allowed – leaving 10 horse and riders combinations left for the jump-off. With several fast riders qualified, it turned out to be a real race against the clock with Diniz being the fastest one with her time of 39,32 seconds. Home rider Eric Lamaze (CAN) and Chacco Kid (Chacco Blue x Come On) followed close behind Diniz with 39,69 seconds to take the runner-up position.

Egyptian rider Sameh El Dahan ended third riding WKD Diva (Balourado x T Hors La Loi II) after crossing the finish line in 39,78 seconds. Pius Schwizer (SUI) was the last one to clear the jump-off, riding the 9-year-old Chidame Z (Chippendale Z x Quidam de Revel) and took care of the 4th place. Pius' compatriots Steve Guerdat and Cayetana (Robin II x Papillon Rouge) were the fastest four faulters – ending 5th.
