Press release from The Dutch Masters, edited by World of Showjumping
On Saturday morning at The Dutch Masters 2026, Richard Vogel (GER) claimed victory in the CSI5* 1.45m NAB Bliksembeveiliging Prize with the ten-year-old stallion Diamant de Casall (Diamant de Semilly x Caretino), securing his second win of the weekend.
“Diamant de Casall seems to really like the Brabanthallen,” Vogel said afterwards. “We haven’t been together for very long, but he clearly feels comfortable here. He wants to be competitive and fast in the ring. It already feels like we have great chemistry, which gives me confidence for the future.”
In a fast jump-off, Vogel narrowly stayed ahead of the competition. Among those finishing close behind him was his partner Sophie Hinners (GER), who took second place with Iron Dames Come Away Flamingo Z (Cardento x Dollar du Murier).
“Luckily, I was the first to go in the jump-off,” Vogel laughed. “That meant I could immediately put the pressure on. Sophie knew exactly what she had to do, but this time it worked out in my favour. It’s always nice when things go well within the team. We help and motivate each other.”
Piet Raijmakers Jr. (NED) and For Freedom EKT (For Fashion x Carthago) finished third and prevented an all-German podium by finishing ahead of Katrin Eckermann (GER) with Comilio (Comme Il Faut 5 x Iceman de Muze), while Henk van de Pol (NED) took fifth place with No Fathers Girl (Verde Gaio x Eldorado vd Zeshoek).
